Instructions: Your step-by-step guide to success

Make sure to follow the steps below:

  1. Wash the tomatoes, drain them, quarter them, and remove the stems. Cut the tomatoes into cubes. Peel the onions and garlic cloves and finely chop them.
  2. Heat the oil in a pot. Sauté the onions and garlic in it. Add the diced tomatoes, vegetable stock, salt, pepper, bay leaf, and oregano. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes.
  3. Remove the bay leaf, purée the soup, and strain it through a sieve. Bring the soup back to a boil and adjust the seasoning to taste. Serve with basil leaves.

Cheese tortellini go well with this!
